 | Nazareth Nature Walk You don't have to watch the Discovery Channel or visit the far off wilderness to see nature's wonders... many animals, birds, and plants share our landscape.
Join us as we explore and see delicate herbs such as Wild Ginger, Licorice Root, and Black Cohosh. We might be lucky and see some woodland or edge birds such as the Indigo Buntings and the brilliant Scarlet Tanager.
We'll take a fascinating look at a surprisingly large abandoned fox den and a few springs where water comes out of the ground; with chunks of white quartz and brown jasper, always with the chance of small crystals in them. We'll learn the reason for the name of Schoeneck Creek, and visit the site of a former cave ~ all right here in Nazareth.
Testimonial from Sharon who participated in the first Nazareth Nature Walk:
"Just wanted to tell you that offering the Nazareth Nature Walk in your last newsletter was a WONDERFUL idea. We saw some amazing sights and learned a lot about the wildlife in Nazareth, as well as some Nazareth history. Not only did we learn about the Indian Tower, but we also visited it twice today...once to see it for ourselves and the second time to share the beauty with a friend. It was a fantastic experience...THANK YOU!!!"
