Colleen Samsel, Artistic Director of Movement Theater at Kula Heart Yoga Center

Colleen is a graduate from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance. Growing up in Philadelphia, Colleen received her preliminary training at The Debra Sparks Dance Works, as a member of The Philadelphia Children’s Ballet Academy, a non-profit performance organization specializing in the production of The Nutcracker. In 1996 Colleen founded her own studio “Colleen Margaret’s Dance Elite” offering ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical. During this time, she had the opportunity to perform professionally under the direction of Eva Gholson, in many Modern Dance productions in the Philadelphia Area. Upon relocating to the Pocono Region, Colleen danced as a member for The PA Dance Repertory Ensemble in East Stroudsburg, PA. Colleen continues to educate herself in dance, taking master dance classes and attending conventions. Most recently Colleen was on the staff at the Lehigh Valley Ballet Guild in Downtown Bethlehem. Her goal in teaching Dance is to preserve the discipline and share the art!
